MI6, Rob Tucker

Rob was one of the best friends I ever had lost him to the Big C
Back in October 06 I went back to see Rob in hospital, here's some stuff from around then & the funeral in Feb 07.

He had a great sense of humour

It's his helmet his shed & I'm about to take his bike for a ride. Just as well THAT HELMET didn't fit as I'm told it brought out the worst in the world :P

He lived in Lyttleton & was UNBEATABLE on the road to Governors Bay. This is the view from across the port looking back to his place.

He got a great send off....

In his prime Rob was quite a power lifter, he came third in NZ once.
Rob had a kidney transplant in the 90's thanks to his wifes kind donation.
Rob went back to body building after the transplant and soon was drug tested, the anti rejection drugs tested positive to a banned substance and he was labelled as drug cheat. Naturally Rob was highly pissed off about this and started a campaign to clear his name. He was unsuccessful in this campaign but he did however open the door for Jonah Lomu to TRY to return to top class rugby after his kidney transplant.
Fast forward to today and it's in the news that Jonah is getting into body building.
Jonah you probably don't know this but you owe a debt of gratitude to Rob Tucker without Rob's efforts you wouldn't be doing what you are now. Anyway good luck Jonah
